I am still at heart just a punk kid with tatoos. To realize if you speak from the heart, you do have a place- that was a really nice discovery.

26/11 ANGELINA HAS CORNWELL'S APPROVAL

Angelina Jolie would be "brilliant" as forensic medical examiner Dr Kay Scarpetta, author Patricia Cornwell has said.

Patricia, the award-winning writer behind the crime thrillers, admits that she's happy for the Changeling star to take on the coveted role.

"She has an interesting edge to her, I just have no doubt in my mind that she'll do a brilliant job if she's given the opportunity," she said.

"If Angelina does do it, and it's an if - she has to like the screenplay and be happy with everything - she will bring something very interesting to it. She will probably bring things to the character that go beyond what I do with it."

She added: "I think she can play anything she wants, and it's not just because she's a superstar. This is a very gifted, very intelligent person and she's a very fine actress - and a very courageous one for that matter."

Patricia has already met up with the Oscar-winning actress and given her tips.

"When I saw her last April, I told her 'I hope Scarpetta takes you over like she has me, because if she does, then you will play her the way she ought to be played'."

The Scarpetta Factor by Patricia Cornwell is published by Little, Brown, priced £18.99, and is available now.

23/11 BRAD PITT AND ANGELINA JOLIE CLOSER TO CHILD NO. 7

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt

Brangelina could be back on the adoption trail after visiting orphanages in Jordan and Syria.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie confided their desire to adopt a fourth child to add to their brood.

'I'm always thinking about it. I would love to,' Jolie, 34, told Hello! magazine. 'Yeah, you never know,' added Pitt, 45. The couple shed their A-list image to play with children at an orphanage they sponsor in Jordan.

SOS Children's Village in Amman has been supported by Jolie for six years and some of its teenagers came back from university just to see her, said Aysha Shahin, a worker there.

'She was giving them advice about life and school. The children asked about her movies and talked to Brad about The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button. Then Angelina and Brad went to kindergarten, where they sang songs and danced with the children. They particularly liked singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star,' she added.

But Ms Shahin said the couple would not be able to adopt in Jordan or Syria. 'We do not do adopting,' she said.

'I have not heard of any plans for her to adopt here in Jordan and in Syria it would be impossible.'

Although it proved a bit of a reunion for Jolie, it was the first time Pitt had joined her there. While he got used to the place, there was only one thing on Jolie's mind.

'Angelina did not talk about adoption. She just wanted to play with the kids,' said Aysha. 'She is a sweetheart – one of our greatest supporters.' Read the full interview in Hello!, out now.

20/11 ANGELINA & BRAD VISIT REFUGEES IN SYRIA

After spending some time in Ethiopia, the south of France and on the Mediterranean coast, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt continued globe-trotting Friday - not for vacation but for a good cause.

Jolie, 34, a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations' refugee agency, UNHCR, visited Iraqi refugees in Syria with Pitt, 45, and urged the world to not forget the thousands who have been displaced.

"Most Iraqi refugees cannot return to Iraq in view of the severe trauma they experienced there, the uncertainty linked to the coming Iraqi elections, the security issues and the lack of basic services," Jolie says in a statement released by the UNHCR. "They will, therefore, be in need of continued support from the international community."

The actress's trip to Syria comes two months after Jolie returned to Iraq to visit a refugee camp and two weeks after she met with Somali refugees in Africa.
